These Terms of Service govern your use of mareajewelry.com and purchases made through the site. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Using our site

You agree to use the site lawfully and not to interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, misuse payment or account information, or submit content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringing. You must be at least 13 years old to use the site, and you are responsible for keeping any account information accurate and secure.

Products and materials

We make reasonable efforts to display product images, colors, dimensions, materials, and descriptions accurately. Screen settings may affect how colors appear. Materials vary by product; please review the individual product description before ordering. Our jewelry may include 316L stainless steel, 925 sterling silver, gold plating, freshwater pearls, agate, lab-grown cubic zirconia, and other disclosed materials. All materials are lead-free and nickel-free as represented in the product information.

Jewelry is a wearable product and should be used with reasonable care. Follow the care information provided on the site and remove jewelry before swimming, soaking, using hot tubs, exercising, or applying products such as perfume, lotion, or sunscreen.

Orders, pricing, and payment

All orders are subject to product availability and our acceptance. We may limit quantities, correct pricing or listing errors, or cancel an order when necessary. If we cancel an order after payment, we will refund the amount paid. Prices are shown in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated and do not include any applicable taxes, duties, or customs charges.

Checkout and payment processing are provided through Shopify and its payment partners. By placing an order, you authorize the applicable payment provider to charge the payment method you select.

Shipping

We ship orders to the destinations available at checkout. Orders generally ship within 1–2 business days. Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees, and may be affected by carrier delays, customs, weather, or events outside our control. Shipping charges are shown at checkout; our current standard rate is $8.99 worldwide. International customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or brokerage fees charged by their country.

Returns and refunds

Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery for unworn pieces in original condition and packaging. Earrings are final sale for hygiene reasons unless they arrive damaged or defective. Please review our Shipping & Returns page and contact us through the site before sending a return. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method after the returned item is received and inspected. Original shipping charges and return shipping may be non-refundable unless the item is defective or we made an error.

Intellectual property

The Marea name, logos, product names, photography, designs, text, graphics, and other site content belong to Marea or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or use our content without written permission.

Third-party services and links

Our store may use Shopify and other third-party services, and may link to third-party websites or social platforms. We are not responsible for the content, policies, availability, or practices of third parties. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The site and its content are provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, Marea disclaims warranties not expressly stated in these terms and will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the site or products. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Marea harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your violation of these terms or misuse of the site or products.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be handled in the courts located in California, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
