Marea was started by a small team obsessed with one thing: jewelry that looks like a quiet heirloom but is priced to wear every day. Sculptural shapes, clean weights, the kind of pieces you reach for first.

We design every piece in San Diego, then produce in small runs with partners we've vetted in person. Our metals are recycled — primarily 316L stainless steel and 925 sterling silver — and our stones (freshwater pearls, agate, lab-grown CZ) are responsibly sourced from suppliers who can document where they came from.

We finish gold pieces with a thick electroplated layer over stainless steel or sterling silver for lasting color, and we don't overpromise. Gold plating is not waterproof — even the best of it wears down with chlorine, hot tubs, and harsh chemicals. We tell you exactly what each piece can handle so you can love it for years, not seasons.
